The varietals in this wine are grown in the rockiest parts of our estate vineyard in Dry Creek Valley and then harvested together, hand sorted, and co-fermented to create a very special field blend. Stone Soup seemed like the perfect name for this luscious red wine given the stone-strewn soils from which it came. For centuries, this technique has been used to create more complexity and structure, making for a noticeably superior wine for which our winemaker went to extraordinary lengths to produce.

Tasting Notes

This big, bold wine is bursting with red roses, blueberry jam, and Black Mission Figs. Notes of baker’s chocolate and cedar wood precedes a long and elegant finish. It is our go-to wine for all our favorite seasons.
