A warm and dry winter began the 2015 growing season. Early March brought bud break and cool and overcast conditions during fruit set. In late June a heat spikes allowed for even ripening and desirable flavor. Quality of the fruit was high given reduced yields. The harvest was one of the earliest we’ve seen.

Tasting Notes

A truly stunning wine, this 2015 Syrah boasts a full-bodied, dark fruit flavor with a punch of blueberry and boysenberry on the front of the palate, followed by an intriguing earthiness and savory notes of pepper, clove and sweet pipe tobacco. Hints of vanilla, allspice and an herbaceous smokiness round out this beautiful wine.

Pairs perfectly with peppery grilled meats, soft, pungent cheeses and roasted game like turkey or cornish hen spiced with Herbes de Provence.
